The offensive coordinator of Titans, Arthur Smith, was a popular man this month, but his tour of teams looking for a head coach seems to be declining.
Smith interviewed the Hawks twice and Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that he is the focus of their head coaching search. Smith also appears to be looking in the direction of Atlanta, as Rapoport also reports that he has canceled a second interview with the Lions.
Smith also interviewed the Jets twice, but they hired Robert Saleh Thursday night so the door was locked.
If all goes well between the Hawks and Smith, it may not be long before another vacancy is officially filled.
