Linebacker Kyle Van Noy signed a four-year deal with the Dolphins last year, but he apparently will not reach the second year of the deal.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Dolphins informed Van Noy that they’re going to release him. Van Noy’s contract requires that his base salary of $ 12.5 million be guaranteed on March 20.

Van Noy would count $ 13.9 million against the capital. The Dolphins will recover $ 9.775 million from the space by separating from it.

Van Noy recovered 69 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumbles in 14 games for Miami last season.
