Attorney Rusty Hardin said that next week an answer will be given to Deshaun Watson, Texans quarterback, on several claims of assault during massage sessions. Someone apparently leaked a preview of a portion of Watson’s explanation.

According to TMZ.com, Watson used Instagram to track down massage therapists because his usual therapist was unavailable during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the report, Watson uses ‘different friends, teammates and co-workers’ for recommendations.

While this information has nothing to do with whether Watson misbehaved during the massages (he maintains that he did not do so; at least twelve women formally claimed otherwise), it attempts to dispel the perception that Watson intentionally uses Instagram has, to explain away. looking for massages that would possibly be something more than massages.

As explained this week repeatedly, the activation of the civil justice system means that these allegations will eventually be resolved in court, hindering a settlement. The alleged victims will testify, Watson will testify, a jury will hear their words, study their behavior and consider any other objective evidence before deciding whether the victims or Watson are telling the truth.

The public opinion court is separate from the legal process. Regardless of whether Tony Buzbee’s efforts succeed, he has made a significant lead over Hardin in announcing the message.
