The Dominican Hydroelectric Generation Company (Egehid) has projected that the generation of hydroelectric energy and other renewable fuels such as eolica and solar solar power will reach 334.46 megawatts by 2024.
This projection, made by Egehid’s Administrator General Rafael Salazar, supports the diversification of energy generation through 11 projects that are currently being developed, with a maximum investment of US $ 1,083 million.
According to information given this March by Salazar in an economic press release, the current 613.81 megawatts hydroelectric, for the year 2024 will have a power installed of 948.27 megawatts.
The Egehid has been working on the hydraulic generation for some time now, and will be pushing for some solar and energy projects.
Workers’ inversions
Among the projects confirmed by the Egehid, due to the study phase, will be the expansion of the Hatillo press which will be listed in June of 2021 and which will have a capacity of 10.76 megawatts and an inversion of US $ 650,000.
Generation solar power
For this year, too, entry into the system of three solar generation projects, in accordance with the information of the General Administrator of the Egehid.
The “Brazo Derecho Solar” can install megavatios de potencia and an inversion of US $ 6.6 million.
Salazar aggregates that “Domingo Rodríguez Solar” and “Sabaneta Solar” cost US $ 6.6 million each and contribute with the annual increase in power installed with three megawatts each.
A carpet
For 2022, Egehid has ten carpet projects. “Sabana Yegua Solar” carries a three-megawatt electric system and represents a US $ 6.6 million inversion, while the “Tierra Nueva” park will raise 50 megavatios and cost $ US $ 114 million.
In a press release, Salazar informs that in 2024, the “Las Placetas” generation project will bring 191 megawatts and tend to have an investment of US $ 750 million. The “Artibonito Project”, with a total of 52.2 megawatt energy energy conjunctions, representing US $ 160 million, in addition to “San José (Guayubín)” will also generate megavatios and convolutions and costs around $ 36 million.
The official commented that it hopes that by 2024, there will be a list of the “Brazo Derecho” park with a US $ 17 million investment, generating 10 megawatts.
The installation of a mini power station in the Yacahueque press is another project that will be operating this year and will bring in 0.70 megawatts of energy.
