Release date, setting, and more revealed in new rumor

A new rumor about the following Assassin’s Creed game is doing the rounds due to the major (alleged) details it reveals about the PS5, Xbox Series X and PC games. According to the rumor, the following Assassin’s Creed game is code name Assassin’s Creed Champion and will be announced at E3 or a presentation near and like E3. In addition, rumor has it that the game will not be released this year, but that it is actually planned for early 2022, and this is noteworthy for a number of reasons.

For one it would mean that there would be no Assassin’s Creed this year, which would mean that Ubisoft would bring back the bimonthly release plan after it was terminated Odyssey. Meanwhile, the rumor says not only somewhere in 2022, but early in 2022. Why is this remarkable? Because every proper Assassin’s Creed game was released in either October or November. For some, it can, of course, completely tarnish the rumor.

The rumor goes that the game will boast a classic European fantasy environment that takes players to both medieval France and medieval Germany. And this is where the striking details end.

Of course, take everything here with a grain of salt. All of this information not only comes from an anonymous source, but also contradicts the series’ release pattern and previous rumors about the next installment in the long-term franchise. That said, the rumor is circulating within the Assassin’s Creed community, and, as you may know, there have been much worse rumors true in the past.

At the time of publication, Ubisoft has not commented on this rumor in any capacity, and this is unlikely to happen, as both maintain a strict “no comment” policy when it comes to rumors and because it has not yet commented. has on previous rumors about the next delivery.
