Ree Drummond recently brought an unwanted guest into her kitchen.
In the latest installment of The Pioneer Woman, which aired on Saturday, the television host’s kitchen was knocked down by a rat, demonstrating to the star who interrupted how to make a beer cheese bread bowl.
“I consider myself a pioneer on Food Network. After all, I think I’m the only host on the network who let a big pack rat run through the kitchen amid the filming of a cooking show,” writes Drummond (52 ) via Instagram along with a clip from the episode.
“The (very) unwelcome visitor interrupted the shooting, and the screams (not just mine – right, Mauricio?) Abounded,” she added, shouting at her daughter Alex’s fiancé Mauricio Scott.
In the episode, Drummond is too busy cooking to notice when the rat runs across the floor for the first time and only lets out a big scream after her family tells her what just happened.
“Are you serious?” she asked. “I can not film, guys.”
Although Drummond finally decides that the coast is clear enough to continue where she left off, the episode is interrupted again when the rat makes a surprising appearance again and runs across the floor to hide behind a trash can.
This time, Drummond asked for reinforcements, and with the help of her crew, they were able to get the rat safely outside.
About how the gas came into her kitchen in the first place, Drummond said the creature was found through a hole left over from a previous water leak.

Though she may have gotten more than she thought in the kitchen, Drummond recently had plenty to celebrate.
On Wednesday, she shared the exciting news that her teenage foster son Jamar ‘has been officially signed to play football’ at the University of Central Oklahoma in the fall 2021 semester.
“I am so proud of him and so grateful to his friends, coaches and community who supported him in many ways,” Drummond wrote along with a photo of the pair.
“I am grateful for Jamar himself – his hard work, his dedication and his presence in our family,” Drummond continued in her post.
The Food Network star revealed last November that she and her husband, Ladd, had become foster parents a year and a half earlier.
“I never wanted to draw Jamar more attention than he wanted or needed before he had the chance to settle down and get his house in the house,” she explains in an excerpt from her book. Border foliage.

Since then, Drummond has been sharing happy memories on Instagram with all of their families.
“I love you Alex, Paige, Bryce, Jamar and Todd! (And Fred and Rusty.) You guys are making Christmas a lot of fun, strangers,” she wrote a series of sincere photos of all the kids on Instagram. “Merry Christmas, everyone !!”
