RECHAZA REVISION OF REVISION – JCE ratifies the order of the parties in the ballots and distribution of resources

The Pleno of the Junta Central Electoral (JCE) unchanged the order given to the political parties in the ballots, according to the number of votes cast in the presidential and legislative elections, as well as the distribution of resources.

The decision was made to convene a joint body in conjunction with the parties Fuerza del Pueblo, Reformista Social Cristiano, Revolucionarios Dominicano (PRD), Partido Quisqueyano Demócrata Cristiano, Verde Dominicano (PVD), el Liberale Reformista, el Cívico Renista (el Cívico Ren , Progressive National Force (FNP), Institutional Democrat (PDI), Christian Democratic Union (UDC), and the Alternative Democratic Party (MODA).

In this sense, according to the Ley 33-2018 on political parties, groups and movements, it is established that 80% of the resources allocated by the Poder Executive to be divided between the political parties will be redistributed in equal parts between these organizations.

Only 5% of the votes cast will go to the recipient. In agreement with this resolution, the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) party, led by Leonel Fernández, won only 4.54%, along with the PRD, the PRSC, the Alliance of the Netherlands and the Dominicans by the Cambio, receiving the equal shares of 12% of the assigned appeals, including as minority parties. The remaining debt will be divided between the 19 parties registered with the JCE which will increase by 1%.
