Recently released video from inside the Capitol siege shows rioters confronting police and firing through the senate’s desk

The New Yorker reissued Sunday footage from the U.S. Capitol by a reporter who followed the rioters through the building and into the Senate halls.

An early scene in the video shot by reporter Luke Mogelson shows the crowd marching through the building and singing ‘betrayal’ and ‘defending your constitution, defending your freedom’.

‘You are less than,’ says one man to an officer trying to stop the mob. The man adds, “We’re listening to Trump, your boss.”

Another man can be heard shouting in the video, ‘Where are they,’ as he watches the Senate halls.

“There were not nearly enough law enforcers to repel the crowd, who bombarded the officers with cans and bottles,” Mogelson wrote in his detailed report on the Capitol burglary.

Mogelson caught several shots from Jacob Anthony Chansley, the ‘QAnon Shaman’, who hit the entire Capitol with a horn hat. Since then, Chansley has turned himself in to the government and apologized to President Trump.

Another scene captured by Mogelson showed how rioters destroyed media equipment. One man is heard shouting, “Start compiling a list, put down all the names, and we’re going to hunt it down one by one.”

Another man responds by shouting, “Traitors of the guillotine!”

Since the offense, dozens of people across the country have been arrested. Most were charged with illegal access to a restricted area. The FBI is currently gathering tips and information to track down those who took part in the riot.
