Testes was performed on Dani Carvajal after the Real Madrid right-back had to be injured during the team’s Sunday with 2-0 victory over Valencia – and the results are not good.
Carvajal had just returned from another injury, when he pulled up and came down after 25 minutes.
“Following tests performed on our player, Dani Carvajal, by the Real Madrid medical services, he was diagnosed with a muscle injury in his right leg affecting the tendon, “reads an official club statement.
The fact that the tendon involves the injury is bad news. This is similar to what happened with Rodrygo, although it is not expected to be quite as serious.
Anyway, Carvajal can miss a full two months and maybe more. He goes for further tests as Real Madrid manages his recovery.
It is not Carvajals first injury of 2020/21. His first injury came at the end of November and he had previously missed four games. Carvajal suffered a new injury on January 2 against Celta Vigo.
After it looked like he was recovering, he had this relapse and found himself in the medical report again.
