global lifestyle brand for gamers, razer, launched after CES 2021 to launch project hazel – the world’s smartest and most socially friendly face mask. the smart mask, which is still a concept, aims to improve the comfort of daily wear while overcoming the common social interaction challenges.
since the COVID-19 pandemic surprised us, Razer has been proactively combating it and converting its manufacturing facilities to certified medical masks. project hazel is the natural evolution of this initiative, as it addresses not only the protective nature of the masks, but also the environmental issues of disposables, while at the same time improving the properties of a personal protective cover for more use.
razor’s project hazel features an N95 medical respirator that uses removable and rechargeable active fans and smart pods that regulate airflow for optimal breathing. its high bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) smart pods filter at least 95% of the air particles and have a high liquid resistance. its clear, transparent design helps social interaction, because those around you can see facial expressions like a smile or laugh and make hard-of-hearing people lip-read. interior lights are automatically activated in the dark so that wearers can express themselves clearly regardless of the lighting conditions.
In addition, because masks can also muffle voices, a new razor VoiceAmp technology (patent pending) uses a built-in microphone and amplifier to enhance the user’s speech for clear communication while staying safe in social situations. the silicone-lined smart mask provides convenience with active air cooling and regulation, which introduces fresh air and releases CO2. the result is an airtight seal of its adjustable earmuffs, which fits snugly for a secure fit that impedes the mouth. for extra user entertainment and style, wearers can activate two customizable razer chroma GB RGB lighting zones that offer 16.8 million colors and a range of dynamic lighting effects.
