Ray Fisher’s Cyborg is written from the DC movie

The saga of Ray Fisher and Warner Bros. is an ongoing, utterly confusing boondoggle with the actor who doomed Cyborg in 2017’s Justice League function, accuses director Joss Whedon (which took over for Zack Snyder after a family tragedy) and several drivers of Warner Bros. of something ominous, often on Twitter or in the press. And Fisher’s latest salvo to a profile of executive Walter Hamada (and the announcement that his contract would be resumed), was a tweet on December 30 reads: “Walter Hamada is the most dangerous kind of enabler. He’s lying, and WB PR’s failed hit of 4 September tried to undermine the real issues of SU Justice League investigation. I will not participate in any production related to him. Apparently Warner Bros. his self-pension taken seriously, with The Wrap reporting the role of Fisher in the coming year Flash film will be removed.

According to The Wrap, the role will not be remade, which could lead to a Poochie-like scream from the audience asking, “But where is Cyborg?” (Probably not.) The flash will be led by It filmmaker Andy Muschietti and written by Birds of prey to write Christina Hodson; it contains a storyline borrowed from the Flash point comic book series, with multiple timelines, with both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck appears as Batman.

Part of what makes the whole Ray Fisher controversy so frustrating is that no real concrete allegations have been made, with only a few vague accusations about Whedon, Hamada and others promoting an unsafe and potentially dangerous workplace, but nothing to hang your hat. It’s clear that the call of several other actors over the reinstatement of Snyder’s original version of Justice League left the impression that they were dissatisfied with the final film, but it is unclear whether they had similar unwanted interactions, or what happened again. This is very confusing and we are sure it will all be announced one day.

But for now, it seems like everyone is getting what they want. Warner Bros. (and parent company Warner Media) seem very happy with what Hamada has done with the properties, and so they keep him going. And they know what they think of the Flash Movie. And Fisher does not need to have even more emotional tension to work with people he does not consider worthy. So do not force him (contractually or otherwise) to appear in The flash seems wise.

You can see Fisher’s first (and only) performance as Cyborg in Snyder’s new 4 hour plus version Justice League begins in March on HBO Max.
