Ray Fisher has confirmed that he’s out of the cast of Warner Bros. “The Flash” and will not portray his role as Cyborg in the comic strip.
“I do not completely agree with their decision, but it is not surprising,” Fisher said at the start of a two pages, Published Wednesday night.
“Despite the misconception, Cyborg’s involvement with ‘The Flash’ was far greater than a cameo,” Fisher continues. ‘And although I mourn the lost opportunity to bring [Cyborg alter-ego] Victor Stone returns to the screen, raising awareness of the actions of [DC Films head] Walter Hamada will be a much more important contribution to our world. ‘
WarnerMedia, the parent company of Warner Bros., disputes Fisher’s allegations that it pushed him out of the role and noted that he had previously publicly refused to cooperate with Hamada.
“Last summer, Mr. Fisher was given the opportunity to reprise his role as Cyborg in ‘The Flash,'” WarnerMedia said in a statement. “Given his statement that he will not participate in any film related to Mr. Hamada, our production is now continuing.”
WarnerMedia also denied that they divorced Geoff Johns, the former DC chief and producer, who Fisher claims left the company after investigating the actor’s allegations of misconduct in ‘Justice League’.
Warner Bros. is still working on Geoff Johns producing ‘Stargirl’, ‘Batwoman’, ‘Doom Patrol’, ‘Superman & Lois’ and’ Titans’ for the studio, among others, ‘the studio added.
The news of Fisher’s official departure from the next film in the DC Expanded Universe comes as part of an ongoing back-and-forth between the actor and the studio, following an investigation into Fisher’s allegations of illegal behavior by co-author of ‘Justice League’. Joss Whedon and ‘encouraging’ behavior by writer-producer Geoff Johns and producer Jon Berg were introduced in August 2020.
Throughout the investigation and since then, Fisher has continuously spoken out via social media about his allegations. In this latest report, Fisher reiterated allegations of misconduct by Johns and he accuses Hamada of protecting Johns and Whedon by obstructing the investigation into the studio’s allegation.
Hamada was not in charge of DC Films during the production of ‘Justice League’. He took over as chief in January 2018, two months after ‘Justice League’ bombed at the box office. Fisher says, however, that Hamada did not succeed in mistreating his allegations that the filming was conducted by Whedon. Whedon takes over the director’s chair after original filmmaker Zack Snyder left production due to the death of his daughter.

“I believe in Walter Hamada and that he does not obstruct or interfere with the investigation,” Sarnoff said in a statement. “Furthermore, I trust the process and findings of the investigation. Walter is a respected leader, known by his colleagues, peers and I as a man of great character and integrity. As I said in Walter’s recent announcement, I’m excited about where he’s taking DC Films and look forward to building the DC Multiverse with him and the rest of the team. ”
The investigation into Fisher’s allegations was concluded in December and Warners issued a statement reading: ‘WarnerMedia’s investigation into the’ Justice League ‘film has been completed and corrective action has been taken. “On Thursday morning, WarnerMedia repeated that message.
“As stated earlier, an extensive investigation was conducted by an outside law firm, led by a former federal judge who assured WarnerMedia that there were no obstacles to the investigation,” the statement said.
Fisher does not back down from his allegations. On social media, he offered to submit ” a polygraph test to confirm my claims [Hamada]. Fisher concludes his statement, writing: “If the end of my time as Cyborg is the cost of helping to raise awareness and accountability of Walter Hamada’s actions, I will gladly pay for it,” and signed with his slogan “A > E “(which stands for” liability> entertainment “).
Although Fisher will not appear in “The Flash,” the actor has already completed work on “Justice League” Snyder Cut, which will be released on HBO Max in March. It is said that his role in the “Snyder Cut” is much greater than in the theatrical version of “Justice League”.
