Ravens CB Jimmy Smith and his family safe after being robbed with a gun

Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith and his family are safe after a dire situation in Los Angeles.

Smith and his family were robbed of a hotel with a gun after flying to the city. Jeff Zrebiec of TheAthletic.com reports that no one was injured.

Smith was followed by the attacker from Los Angeles International Airport and that Smith was in contact with the team about the incident.

“We are aware of the situation in which Jimmy Smith is involved. We talked to Jimmy and he and his family is safe, ”The Ravens said in a statement.

Smith has been signed for the 2021 season. This will be his 11th year with the team that drafted him in the first round of the 2011 draft.
