CNN – The online sensation that has become ‘Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical’ has raised more than $ 1 million for the Actors Fund organization and struggling artists affected by the pandemic.

The musical was on the social media platform New Year’s Day and featured household names, including Wayne Brady, Titus Burgess and Adam Lambert. The news of his financial success was announced on the production on Saturday Twitter page.

The TikTok community saw the project begin with a scenic effort by a user’s Broadway ode to the 2007 Disney Pixar movie after a full-fledged event within weeks.

Tickets to see the production cost just $ 5 each, meaning more than 200,000 have been raised.
