Rangers place Tony DeAngelo on remission after altercation – The Athletic

The final straw for Tony DeAngelo and the Rangers apparently came moments after he was on the ice for the overtime goal that gave Pittsburgh a 5-4 victory in the garden on Saturday night.

Three sources confirmed to The Athletic that there was indeed an altercation with DeAngelo and goalkeeper Alexandar Georgiev in the tunnel leading to the Rangers’ locker room. By the way, Georgiev was kept out of practice on Sunday for ‘interview’. The quarrel was quickly broken up.

The Rangers did not confirm or deny the incident.
