The Texas Rangers allow Globe Life Field to be 100 percent full on opening day. The team announced on Wednesday that they can enter the stadium at full capacity last two exhibition games and opening day, according to Levi Weaver of The Athletic.
After that, the team will have ‘social distances available in the ensuing games’, according to Weaver.
Fans attending the two exhibition games or the opening day will be required to wear masks, although the team hopes for ‘voluntary compliance’.
– masks are needed
– no tailgate allowed
the team asks for ‘voluntary compliance’, but refusal to comply will fall under the usual rule for three strikes, just like excessive swearing, etc.More to come.

The news comes a week after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott opened the state 100 percent and no longer required the use of masks.
Globe Life Field has more than 40,000 people.
Rangers are the first MLB team to fully open attendance
With the news, the Rangers are the first team to attend 100 percent in 2021. Other teams will allow fans during the 2021 season, but only with limited attendance. The St. The Louis Cardinals, for example, allow only 32 percent capacity to start the season.
The move likely opens the door for Houston Astros to offer fans with 100 percent capacity, though the team has given no indication that they will. For now, Astros is expected to allow limited capacity for games in 2021.
