Why this happened, Meatball132 believes it was probably due to an error in Google’s search results, which included images of Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii playback if you ‘New Super Mario Bros. Wii Cactus’ search. This is not the first time the team behind Super Nintendo World has fallen wrong here, as a Mario version was seen on the official website last week.
The error comes amid legal tensions between fans and Nintendo, which have closed numerous fan projects over the past few years.
