Update 2 [Sat 2nd Jan, 2021 04:45 GMT]: The Expected Edge Spotlight Issue Hollow Knight: Silksong is available now.

A post on ResetEra shared some of the highlights. Unfortunately, there is no release date yet, so keep an eye on it in the future. However, there are some other interesting details.

– Team Cherry’s next match will not be related to Hollow Knight
– Team Cherry as Castlevania Lords of Shadow!
Hornet has the ability to perform tasks for NPCs, and monitors the tasks you have completed via notice boards around Pharloom.
– Not the replacement of organic search for the first Hollow Knight.
– Instead of saving Grubs from jars, you now save fleas that end up in small pieces.
– Hornet’s Crests are fully customizable, can be easily changed to reflect your playing style.
– Try to create a game that is accessible to new players, but also matches the difficulty level of the original game.
‘Tricks’ like Sting Shards, Pimpillo bombs, straight pins, can be made on benches from shards defeated by defeated enemies.
– The aim of the game is to climb to the Citadel, but there will be ‘many other countries’
Hollow Knight composer Christopher Larkin returns
– Start the game after losing a lot of your strength
– PC and Switch only at launch, the release date TBA.

Team Cherry also noted how Hornet is generally more acrobatic (via GamesRadar):

“Hornet can travel so much faster, she can jump higher, she can mantle or climb sidewalks, she is generally more acrobatic. The caves around her must therefore expand to accommodate her height.”

And the enemies in the new entry are also more sophisticated than those in Hollow Knight:

“The characters in this game, they are quite one step further than that, where it does not feel so good for them to be so simple. Like, they have to have surprising ways to chase you, keep up or around your attacks to evade. ”

update [Thu 24th Dec, 2020]: The prediction was correct!

Original story [Mon 14th Dec, 2020 04:15 GMT]: The Edge Online Twitter Account recently shared a tweet about the next issue of the magazine (on December 31) and it was sent Hol Ridder fans in absolute madness.

As you can see in the reply tweet below – the image displayed is apparently a close-up photo of Hornet. This character, if you do not know, is the star of the upcoming sequel to Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Edge editor Jen Simpkins added, adding: “Git … hype“for this” world-exclusive “- which, as Hollow Knight fans have pointed out, is an interesting word choice.fairly close“.

The last time Team Cherry gave an update on Silksong was earlier this year when he said the game would be launched when it’s ready. Do you think the Hollow Knight fans are up to something? Tell us below.
