Rain is developing this weekend with the potential for snow for much of Siouxland by Sunday evening

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – We had another enjoyable day in the region, while most of us saw a peak in the 50’s.

There are a lot of changes underway and it will start with a few more clouds moving Friday night with lows in the low to mid 30s.

Clouds will continue to thicken during the day on Saturday, and rain showers in the late day will be possible, especially in northeastern Nebraska, with altitudes in the low to mid 50s.

Rain is then expected to spread across the region on Saturday night with rain likely all day on Sunday as well as a peak on Sunday in the low to mid 40s.

Sunday will also be very windy with winds blowing more than 40 miles per hour, so it will not be one of our more enjoyable days.

Sunday night will start to cool down and then the snow will first start mixing in western Siouxland.

As we enter Sunday night, we see more snow interfering with the rain, and North Siouxland will probably see snow for a while already.

North Siouxland can finally see a few inches of snow with less amounts the further south you go.

Remember, this storm still has many ways to keep an eye on things so that things can change and you want to stay up to date with the latest news all weekend on News 4.
