The Raiders were presumably on their way to cutting some offensive lineouts as the new league year opened, but they could find trading partners for each.

According to several reports, the Raiders agreed to trade guard Gabe Jackson with the Seahawks. A choice of the fifth round in 2021 will return to Vegas in the deal.

A report that the team would release Jackson broke early this month, but no move was made official and the Raiders’ patience paid off. The Raiders also handed center Rodney Hudson to the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Jackson will earn $ 9.35 million this season and will immediately include a starting spot in front of Seattle. It would seem that adding a productive veteran like Jackson to the group is the kind of thing that will be a plus for Russell Wilson in his quest to make fewer hits in the future.
