Master Rafael Solano will complete 90 years this Saturday, April 10th, and with the career and the musical work that he has to offer, we will thank all the men who can dedicate him.
Mentor and inspirer of a montage of interpretations of distinct generations, and author of emblematic themes, not only of the Dominican singer, Sino continental, Solano (born in Puerto Plata, in 1931) was the object of an emotive homage to the mana of these Jews, of manos del Ministry of Culture.

The act, which includes, like no other, a musical part in which he performs various of his most important songs, can be found in the lobby of the Ministry of Education, a space that has much importance for the Solano tray directory, which is in in this place where the First Festival of the Song was celebrated in 1968, and his most transcendental song, “Por amor”, was performed, in the first place, in the voice of Niní Cáffaro.

The surprise of the activity was due to the participation of Maridalia Hernández, Niní Cáffaro and Lena Dardelet, who interpreted “In the dark” and “A first for the world”, the first; “Magic” and “For Love”, the second; and “The Die of April” and Dominicanita ”, the third. The students were accompanied on the piano by the pianist Elioenai Medina, and the guitarists Héctor Payán and Emmanuel Peña Silverio.

Another of the rules of the new companions of the Dominican master is for the public. Performed and presented in 2018, it is a work in progress with grace, and with an agile rhythm, it moves between conversations with the music, interviewed by the communicator Patricia Solano, as well as testimonials from many of her performers, such as Niní Cáffaro, Luchy Vicioso, Fernando Casado, Adalgisa Pantaleón, Marco Antonio Múñiz, Los Solmeños: Nandy Rivas and Horacio Pichardo, instrumentalists like Guillo Carías, Armando Beltré or Tito Delgado, and personalities like Pedro Delgado Malagón and Ellis Pérez.

A visual journey, beautifully photographed, through the life of one of the glories of national music, and in which it moves through the spaces in which it unfolds its kind, which very well repeats the historical moment that it was recorded in Rafael Solano.
