(CNN Español) – The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that this month will mark two consecutive weeks of radical quarantine, including Santa Claus.
The mandate states that the country will be located in a second covid-19, which will be attributed to the legacy of the variant identified in Brazil.
Maduro assured that during his months he would control the pandemic, but admitted that “it has changed with the law of the Brazilian variant”.
Resaltó added that he had increased the number of people killed by covid-19 in Venezuela.

According to the reporter of the official, the capital region concentrates the mayor’s number of contagios. There are 2,662 active cases in Caracas, 1,190 in Miranda and 850 in La Guaira.
This Saturday, Venezuela reported 150,306 confirmed cases and 1,483 deaths by covid-19, reported the Minister of Communications and Information of Venezuela, Freddy Ñáñez.
