Although the queen is known for not showing too much emotion in public, it’s a chance. photo taken by the Royal Central caught the queen in the back of her black Bentley on her way out of service and calmly wiped away a tear after saying goodbye to her 73-year-old husband.

It’s rare for the public to show the queen emotion, something the royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith told USA Today was designed.

“She is a woman with a deep feeling, but she works very hard to present an impassive face,” she said. “It’s partly because of her role, and partly because of her temperament and the way she was raised.”
