Publix to add more COVID-19 vaccine appointments in Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough

Publix reopens entry for appointment of COVID-19 vaccine after vaccine delivery was delayed last week.

Snowstorms and inclement weather across the country last week prevented bottles from coming from Moderna to Florida Publix stores, delaying the start of new appointments. On Wednesday, Publix will log on to its online system at 273 stores in 20 counties, including Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas.

The number of appointments available at each store will vary according to the Lakeland chain.

Publix says it plans to make new appointments available for its stores in Florida every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning. Publix said the system would continue “as long as the company continues to receive vaccine doses from state and federal governments.”

Appointment availability will depend on the store.

To sign up for an appointment, go to publix.com/covidvaccine. Publix only accepts appointments made online.
