The original PUBG – aka PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds – is attributed to the beginning of the Battle Royale video game trend. Tencent eventually transferred PUBG to mobile devices with the appropriate title PUBG: Mobile. Now there is a new game on the way called PUBG: New State.

This is a completely different game than what we saw from the PUBG universe. It takes place at a different time, has unique features and is the first mobile PUBG title made by the original development company.

What is PUBG: New state?
PUBG: New State is a mobile game in the PUBG universe. When launched, it will be available exclusively on Android and iOS devices.

The original PUBG is being set up in the current day (or something close by). New state, however, takes place in the not-too-distant future of 2051. As such, it is likely to bring new characters and stories to the PUBG universe.
However, it is still a PUBG title and will play much like previous games. You will be put on a map and you will have to fight for the victory while facing dozens of other players.
When and where does the game start?
PUBG Studio does not want to set a specific date for the release of this new game. However, the company said it was planning for a launch in 2021. It is clear that the COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc on the launch dates of the media. It is therefore possible that there may be delays in 2022. For now, however, the studio is holding a launch in 2021 for PUBG: New State.
Once launched, the game will be available for Android and iOS devices worldwide. Unfortunately, it will not land in China, India or Vietnam. This is probably due to expenses that PUBG titles have faced in the countries in the past.

What are the unique features of this game?
The most important feature of this new game is not the game itself, but the company that made it. PUBG Studios creates PUBG: New State, which is the same company that made the original PUBG.
The only other mobile PUBG title is PUBG: Mobile, created by Chinese gaming giant Tencent. This makes New State the only mobile game of the original development enterprise.
In the future, the new PUBG game will have a new map, new weapons, and new ways to communicate with the environment.
In addition to the development, New State will have features that other PUBG titles do not have. For example, there will be a weapon customization system that allows players to change the appearance of their weapons during a match. This sounds similar to the system in Apex Legends. There will also be new weapons available that reflect the futuristic environment, including drones and deployable combat screens.
There will also be a whole new card for the game. When you fall, you land in a place called Troy. PUBG Studios promises new landmarks and interaction environments, which will allow you to devise unique ways to eliminate your opponents.
Finally, PUBG: New State will be built specifically for mobile games. The developers promise “next generation graphics that surpass
the standard for mobile games. Players can also expect the same control experience that is ‘easy to learn but difficult to master’.
Will PUBG: new state end up on computers or other platforms?
Currently, PUBG: New State is specifically designed for mobile devices. As such, you should just expect it to end up on Android and iOS devices.

However, it would not be out of the question to think that a computer or console port could happen in the future. Part of Fortnite’s competitive game’s great appeal is platform variety. It is not unreasonable to assume that PUBG Studios wants to compare something with its titles. Of course, it is quite possible that this is not the strategy here and that this game remains an exclusive mobile. Time will tell.
