PUBG console update 10.2 adds reputation system, new car

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds now has a reputation system that ranks players on a six-point scale for how toxic (zero) or how well they behave (five).

“We know that passions can run high on the Battlegrounds, but toxic behavior is never justified,” developer PUBG Studio wrote in a blog post updating console update 10.2. “Of course, your reputation level will increase as you play games, provided you do not engage in toxic or otherwise disruptive behavior.”

It sounds like user reports will make up a large part of a player’s reputation player. If someone is reported for verbal abuse, obstruction of a game or killing teammates, someone’s reputation level will drop. It would also place a temporary ban on a breach of the Terms of Service – but PUBG Studio promises that the fact that it is merely reported due to the alleged use of cheats will not affect the reputation level.

Leaving a game repeatedly and not returning can also lower a reputation level, ‘the developer said. But the only infallible way to increase your representative is: play normal / connected matches and do not be a hole in it. All players will start at Reputation Level 2, and the rating will be displayed in Team Finder, to give those looking for a group an idea of whether you’ll have fun playing for a while.

Elsewhere, update 10.2 delivers a new vehicle – the Coupe RB, a fast vintage roadster that is faster than anything but PUBG‘s motorcycle. “The Coupe RB will not carry your entire group, but it will get you where you need to go fast,” the studio said. It sprays on the Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok maps.

Update 10.2 will also update the Rank mode to give up penalties for leaving a match, if a player does so because the plane took off with an incomplete team. The full details are in the blog post. The ranking limit also increased to 44; it was 39.
