PlayStation’s PSN network is currently experiencing connectivity issues, and most services for PS4 and PS5 users are experiencing serious issues.
Sony’s servers appear to be for users around the world, based on reports from DownDetector.
Problems with the service started this morning around 01:00 GMT, with reports of players increasing on social media platforms.
The only good news is that Sony seems to be aware of these issues, as the official Sony PlayStation Network Service Status page acknowledges the issues.
“Some services are experiencing problems.” a message reads.
Currently, ALL services on the official Sony PlayStation Network service status page are listed in red (as in, do not work).
These include: Account Management, Gaming And Social, PlayStation Now, the PlayStation Store.
A message from Sony reads: “You may be having difficulty signing in or creating a PlayStation Network account. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
“You may have trouble starting games, applications, or network features. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
For now, it’s not clear how long the ongoing PSN issues may take to resolve, but if Sony is aware of the issues, it will hopefully not take too long.
