Lionel Messimissed penalty kick Paris Saint-Germain Wednesday night over Barcelona feeling an all too familiar feeling.
The Catalans have missed six of the 15 penalties awarded to them this season between LaLiga Santander, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
Barcelona before Wednesday, however, had no problems switching from 12 meters in Europe.
In reality, Messi scored five penalties in the competition – against Ferencvaros, Juventus, Dynamo Kiev and Paris Saint-Germain in the Camp Nou. Martin Braithwaite and Ousmane Dembele also achieved their own.
In LaLiga Santander, however, their problems are clearer.
They got a total of six and scored just three. Braithwaite missed against Eibar, Messi against Valencia, and Antoine Griezmann against Real Betis.
Their worst record is in the Copa del Rey. They were given two penalties and missed both, with Dembele and Miralem Pjanic guilty of abandoning the two opportunities.
