Psaki accused of mocking Space Force refuses to apologize

Rank member of the House Armed Services Committee called on the White House press secretary to immediately apologize for her response to a question from the Space Force during a Tuesday press conference.

The Republican Rep. Alabama’s Mike Rogers was offended by Jen Psaki’s response as a joke to a question about the future of the Space Force under the Biden government.

“Wow. Space Force. This is the plane of today,” Psaki said. He seems to be comparing the question to one posed by a reporter two weeks ago, asking about Air Force One’s color scheme.

“This is an interesting question,” she said after the reporter pushed back the validity of the question. “I’m glad to check our contact point at the Space Force. I’m not sure who it is. I’ll find out and see if we have any updates on that.”

Space Force was enacted by Congress in December 2019 as an extension of the U.S. military and is aimed at protecting U.S. special interests in space capability.

“It’s worrying to see the Biden government’s press secretary blatantly take down an entire branch of our army as a joke, which I’m sure China will find funny,” Rogers said in a statement.

“The space force has been approved by Congress with almost unanimous support, and the same kind of ‘unity’ that President Biden apparently works for,” he added. “Jen Psaki must immediately apologize to the men and women of the space force for this shameful remark. “

Biden did not publicly comment on the latest military force formed during the Trump administration. But several lawmakers see the Space Force as a continuation of the U.S. efforts to curb China’s growing presence.

‘While the Biden administration is still considering whether the [Chinese Communist Party] is a threat, China is working overtime to become the dominant force in space, “Mike Waltz, R-Fla., one of the founding members of the House Space Force Caucus, said Tuesday.

‘We need the professionals [at Space Force] to keep the Americans safe, ”he added.

The White House did not immediately respond to Fox News for comment, but Psaki took to Twitter to take note of the ‘important work’ of Space Force, although the White House press secretary did not apologize.

“We look forward to the continued work of Space Force and invite team members to visit us in the Information Room at any time to provide an update on their important work,” she said.

Although the Space Force was established and transferred on a dual basis, the latest military branch is seen as a biased point of discussion, as President Trump regularly praised his efforts to push the specialized force during the campaign rallies and events last year.

The Space Force has also caught Hollywood’s attention and spurred a Netflix series starring Steve Carell, who is having fun with an incompetent government driving the latest military branch to get an active military force on the moon by 2024.
