PS5 updates for PlayStation Direct, GameStop, Target, Newegg and more

The chances of getting a PlayStation 5 remain frustratingly slim for gamers, and Sony’s next-generation console has sold out in very small quantities or is available in very limited quantities.

A combination of a huge demand since the console was launched in November and a shortage of supply that made production difficult, has caused both versions of the PS5 to fly off the shelves over the past four months.

As has been the case since November, the best chance for gamers is to monitor social media channels and dedicated Twitter accounts of various retailers to keep abreast of upcoming declines and then act as quickly as possible.

Here’s a list of the latest information on PS5 from Walmart, GameStop, Target, PlayStation Direct, Amazon and more.

Amazon PS5 Reload

After the PlayStation 5 was available in limited numbers at select retailers last week, it is now sold out on Amazon.

Both versions of the console are listed on the Amazon website as ‘currently unavailable’, along with a message that the seller does not yet know when or if the PS5 will be back in stock.

Unlike other retailers, Amazon does not announce its inventory ahead of time, but gamers can keep track of any updates by following Twitter accounts like @ Wario64 and @GYXdeals, which have regular updates on inventory again.

Antonline PS5 Reload

The PS5 was sold out at Antonline. However, the retailer earlier said on its Twitter account that it will make a limited number of next-generation consoles available each week.

Best Buy PS5 Reload

Best Buy had a very limited availability of PS5 earlier this month, but both versions of the console are now sold out.

The retailer has not yet announced when more units will arrive, but it’s worth checking the site regularly for updates.

GameStop made a limited amount of PS5 available last week. The consoles have been part of several bundles that have since sold out.

The retailer has alerted customers via its Twitter account and gamers should follow GameStop’s social media channels for updates on further stock cuts.

PS Direct PS5 stock

Purpose PS5 Reload

After a limited supply earlier this month, Target was sold out of PS5s again.

Before the consoles ran out, it was only available online, with a pick-up or drop-off once the order was placed. There was also a limit of one console per customer. Both conditions are likely to remain in place for future inventory.

Walmart PS5 Reload

Both the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition were unavailable, as Walmart’s latest stock sold out quickly in February, when the retailer made more consoles available.

Walmart has not yet announced when it will release more consoles.
