PS5 Update for Target, Walmart, Best Buy and more

Sony’s PlayStation 5 is one of the most popular items currently available, and many people have had trouble finding one. Big retailers like Target, Amazon and Best Buy have seen their stock run out, causing frustration for prospective customers.

A number of Twitter accounts have been set up to monitor and report the availability of PlayStation 5 when the consoles are re-introduced in stores and online. Some hopeful buyers have repeatedly refreshed websites in anticipation of new inventory.

Purpose PS5 reload

Purpose was not at the time of writing PS5s, although accessories such as the DualSense Wireless Controller were available. According to Twitter account YtNextGenGaming, Target may have more PS5s in the near future. These have been shared updates on PS5s in the past, and offered good news on December 31st.

“Many target stores have stockpiled. From my sources, there will be a drop in the next two weeks. See if they will drop from Sunday to Tuesday,” the account tweeted.

On January 1, YtNextGenGaming a list of stores shared has confirmed that the PS5s will be re-confirmed in the coming week, or it is according to rumors although it was not possible to confirm the reports. Twitter account Target Restock Alerts is also one to check for updates on the store’s PS5 stock. It recommends updating Target’s website regularly.

Walmart PS5 reload

The Walmart website indicates that they currently have no stock of PS5s, and note both versions of the console “Oops! This item is not available or is on a new order.” However, they still sell PS5 DualSense Wireless Controllers and charging stations.

Best Buy PS5 Reload

Both PS5 disc and digital versions sold out early on January 2 on Best Buy’s website. Best Buy offers different bundles and customers need to order online for pick up at home. PS5s cannot be purchased in the store.

Amazon PS5 reload

PlayStation 5 was not available on Amazon in early January 2, although some were available on January 1 before it sold out. Amazon’s website says, “We do not know when and if it will be back in stock.”

Twitter account @CoolDealCA offers regular updates on the availability of PS5 on Amazon as well as a large number of other products as it is available at the online retailer.

eBay PS5 Reload

The PlayStation 5 is available on eBay and according to stock finder NowInStock.net, it appears to be the only place the console can be purchased at the moment.

However, the prices are significantly steeper than main street retailers, and some eBay users charge as much as $ 1,500 for the console, even though the consoles are offered.

When will the PS5 reload?

As many as 18 million consoles are expected to be released in 2021, according to Digitimes. This is five times the total number released within the first month after the sale started. It is planned that about 10 million will be released by March this year, an increase over the initial figure of 6 million.
