PS5 stock updates for GameStop, Walmart, Best Buy and more

The PS5 was re-introduced at numerous retailers yesterday, including GameStop, Walmart, Best Buy and Amazon. Thursday was a big day for PlayStation fans, who have struggled to get their hands on the next-generation Sony console since it was released in November 2020.

Since launch day, the PS5 has been occasionally revamped, but quantities have always been limited, while demand has remained high. Yesterday was one of the few days since November where gamers had several chances throughout the day to finally try to buy the PlayStation 5.

While some retailers have re-announced their PS5 stock in advance, targeting PlayStation fans, others have quietly released more consoles online without any warning. Players are generally made aware of new stock and declines as it happens through dedicated PS5 stock accounts on Twitter, plus via prominent game accounts like @ Wario64.

Discover below which retailers have released more PS5 consoles and the latest stock conditions, plus how you can increase the chances of a PlayStation 5 when more are available.

GameStop PS5 Reload

GameStop released more PS5 shares on Thursday, including consoles and bundles. One bundle released is included Sackboy and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and a $ 20 GameStop gift card.

GameStop announced on Wednesday that there will be more consoles available on Thursday, which gamers will face. In addition to the PS5, GameStop has also revamped the Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch.

Walmart PS5 Reload

Walmart released more PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition shares at 3pm on Thursday, but they have since sold out.

Walmart announced that the PS5 consoles would reload an hour before their release, and @ Wario64 was one of the first to notify its Twitter fans.

The consoles were available via the Walmart website and the app and were available for delivery, but the PS5 is currently out of stock. Before more consoles were released yesterday, the PS5 did not appear on the Walmart website.

While some retailers, such as GameStop and Walmart, have announced that they will be reloading ahead of time, others, such as Best Buy and Amazon, have not. Therefore, gamers who are still trying to buy a PS5 should know what to look for in addition to retailers’ social media pages.
