If you read this, chances are you could not get your hands on the highly sought after Sony PlayStation 5. Low inventory at major retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, GameStop and Sony itself has put many people in a familiar and exciting routine: get a PS5 stock, get your hopes up, click wild, wait in line and instead of a PS5, you get the dreaded ‘sell out’ message. But do not be afraid! There are ways to increase your chances.
Do not wait until you hear about a PlayStation 5 stock again; check the stores’ stock links themselves daily or even a few times daily. (We’ve all listed below.) If you have PS5 available, use as many web browsers and devices as you can. On a desktop, you can open the Merchant page in Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. Then you can also do it on your tablet and phone. It’s like with lottery tickets: The more you have, the greater your chance of winning.
If you’re currently starting to buy a PS5, you can do so, but at the expense of an obscene format on sites like eBay and StockX. On eBay, for example, we’ve seen the PS5 cost well over $ 1,000.
