PS5 player warns of most bizarre issue with DualSense controller yet

It’s said to be a new issue for PlayStation 5 players – especially those who can wear a watch. Some who use the DualSense controller of the PS5 have found that the device is somewhat magnetized. While this may not mean much to most people, players who wear mechanical watches want to be careful.

This information occurred via Reddit where one user named Siguchi reported the initial details. The report states that while the DualSense controller may not damage your mechanical watch, the handset emits an absolutely magnetic charge. Several users in the thread confirmed it again and confirmed that it was true. One user even compared the DualSense to the DualShock 4 and found that the former has a much stronger charge than the latter.

PSA: Do not wear a mechanical watch when using the DualSense of r / PS5

While this may be of concern to some people, the charge emitted by the DualSense does not seem to be strong enough to seriously damage a watch you are wearing. Upon further testing, the original poster of the wire found that the magnetic intensity drops to a fairly normal level, only a few inches from the controller. This means that even if you wear a mechanical watch, it probably should not be affected.

Yet this whole situation is definitely a fascinating situation to learn about. Although there is a lot more going on internally compared to previous PlayStation controllers, it is surprising to hear that the DualSense emits a small electromagnetic field. Apparently, haptic feedback and adapters need certain forms of technology that we did not expect.

How do you feel about this revelation then? And are you worried that you can now wear a watch or other devices while playing your PS5? Let me know in the comments or follow me on Twitter @ MooreMan12 if you want to talk more.
