PS4 reportedly got two classic N64 games this month

The PS4, and technically the PS5, are reportedly getting two classic N64 games later this month. February is a slow month for PS4 and PS5 players, and it does not look like March will be much better. However, if a new leak can be believed, PS4 and PS5 players may soon be enjoying some games from earlier. More specifically, according to a new PlayStation Store leak, both Turok and Turok 2 remasters is finally coming to the PS4 on February 25th.

The leak is the way of the UK PlayStation Network App, which recently released PS4 lists for both games. The offers have since been removed, but not before Reddit has received them. That said, because the leak can no longer be verified and because a screenshot has not been provided, it is best to take it with a grain of salt. However, this is not the first leak indicating that these classic games are coming to PS4.

Last July trophy out of nowhere for Turok was posted on the back of PSN. At the time, trophies did not appear for the sequel, but many expected the games to come together in a new form, as this is how it was recently re-released on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

For those who do not know: Turok, or as it is officially known as, Turok: Dinosaur Hunters, is a first-person shooter that launched in 1997 via the Nintendo 64 and via Iguana Entertainment and Acclaim Entertainment. Turok is an adaptation of the Acclaim Comics comic book series of the same name, and Turok was not only awarded, but also sold very well, leading a sequel Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Like its predecessor, it was originally released only for the N64 and the N64. And as its predecessor did in 1997, it was a critical and commercial hit when it dropped in 1998.

In 2021, Nightdive Studios owned the rights to the series, and re-launched and re-released the first two games for PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. And now it looks like the few classics are also coming to PS4, which means they will also be playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility.

At the time of publication, Nightdive Studios is not commenting on this alleged leak. That said, if the leak is accurate, we should hear about the few ports soon. After all, February 25th is only 12 days away.
