Fans are counting down until Sony’s new PlayStation Plus roster is unveiled to PS4 and PS5 console owners.
The good news is that it will not be long before we find out what is planned by the technology giant for PS Plus in January 2021.
Not only will gamers find out how many free games are released, but we’ll also see if there are any special PlayStation 5 bonuses.
Unlike Microsoft, Sony has confirmed that they will be offering free PS5 games as part of their multiplayer subscription service.
The caveat here is that the technology giant has not guaranteed that this will happen every month, which makes sense when you consider how new the PS5 console is.
A message from Sony confirms: ‘All PlayStation Plus members will receive at least two great PS4 games each month.
‘It’s our goal to add PS5 games to the monthly game series on a regular basis, so feel free to take a look at PS Blog again for our monthly PlayStation Plus announcements.
‘PlayStation Plus members who own PS5’s will be able to replace and compile a generation of PS4 games that define the generation, such as Batman: Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, God of War, Monster Hunter: World, Persona 5 and many more. ”
And the big question for many next console owners is whether there will be a PS5-enhanced game available in January along with the two new PS4 games.
The good news is that gamers do not have to wait much longer to find out the full answer from Sony.
For those waiting for free game news, Sony is announcing the PS Plus freebies for January 2021, around 4:30 pm on Wednesday 30 December.
The free games revealed by the technology giant will only be available for download on January 5 next week, but it still leaves plenty of time to look at other available offers.
After a stream of excellent freebies in 2020, PS Plus subscribers are hoping for another strong month in January 2021.
Last year’s PlayStation Plus series was a bit of a mixed bag, but it did not lack variety.
The January 2020 headline was by Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Goat Simulator, which made for an interesting mix.
Not only could you play as a fearless buck, but you also had to play three classic titles from Sony’s past.
There is a small chance that we will find out what Sony planned for the PS Plus free games in January 2021 through a leak.
But the chances of that happening in the coming days are slim, so it’s worth watching the official PlayStation media channels.
