Provincial web sites relocating COVID-19 vaccines for vaccines due to ongoing delivery delays | News

Due to national vaccine delays, all COVID-19 vaccination points, or PODs, and the North County Super Station in San Marcos currently only offer second-dose appointments.

Previously scheduled appointments for first doses at these sites are scheduled for next week.

In addition, the vaccination station at Petco Park interrupts all appointments tomorrow and Saturday. The closure could be extended until Sunday and Monday, depending on when more doses of the vaccine arrive.

Those affected by cancellations by appointment are notified via their UCSD MyChart accounts and must also check their email.

The Sharp vaccination superstar sites at Chula Vista Center and Grossmont Center continue to offer first and second dose appointments with Pfizer vaccine.

The province’s vaccination super station at the Del Mar fair remains open and adheres to previously scheduled appointments.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has advised people to wait up to 42 days between doses and still reach maximum immunity. Therefore, people who have received their first dose and have slight delays in the second dose appointments need not worry.
