Prosecutors say suspects in Sunport’s death admitted to killing a total of 15 people in NM

During a trial Friday, a state prosecutor said Lannon admitted to killing 11 drug dealers in New Mexico.

A New Jersey judge has said it’s enough to keep him behind bars.

“If these are words he has given in an interview about his own conduct in the past, I think it’s relevant to what we can expect regarding future conduct,” Judge Mary Beth Kramer, Supreme Court, said.

Authorities did not comment on the new murder claims.

In addition, Lannon is only charged with the murder in New Jersey, but not for the bodies found at Albuquerque Airport.

When officers at the Albuquerque Police Department were asked for an update on the case, they did not respond.

However, the FBI said they were helping.

As KOB reported earlier, Lannon is also accused of killing his ex-wife, Jennifer Lannon. She was among the bodies discovered at the airport earlier this month.

Her brother, Chris Whitman, told KOB4 that he started worrying when she went missing in mid-January.

“It was challenging,” Whitman said.

“Just to get news today that he has confessed to a total of 16 murders is surprising,” he added.

Lannon had five children, three of whom were with Sean Lannon.

Whitman said the couple were still together even though they were divorced. He said he was shocked by the murder.

“They were together for about 9 years and it’s just amazing because this is someone I welcomed into my house and we had Thanksgiving dinner … and someone I know took my sister’s life and tragically 15 others, ‘ he added.

Whitman said there were rumors about his sister’s past and admitted she had her challenges. However, he told KOB that her life was going better and planned to move back to New Jersey to be closer to the family.

“We have a big family and she always liked to plan big family trips to the shores of Jersey or to Disneyworld,” he said.

“I’ll just laugh at her and miss her sense of humor,” Whitman added.

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with the cost of caring for her five children.
