Progressive group poll finds Trump underwater in Texas after riot

Trump advocate to make the first amendment at the indictment.According to a poll by the progressive group Data For Progress commissioned by MoveOn.org, the popularity in deep red Texas is under water following the mob attack by its Capitol supporters.

The poll found that at least 51 percent of likely voters in Texas said they had at least a “somewhat” unfavorable view of the former president following the events of January 6, and 42 percent said that they are ‘very unfavorable’.

Forty-nine percent of the likely voters had unfavorable opinions about President Biden, while 42 percent of the likely voters had unfavorable opinions of the former Rep. The poll also found that 36 percent of GOP voters in the state would support withholding Trump from running again, possibly the most important interruption of the former president under his base registered so far.

Majority independents and Democrats, according to pollsters, said Biden won the 2020 election fairly, while 64 percent of GOP respondents said they believe Trump is the real winner and therefore robbed.

Data 4 Progress’ poll polled 751 likely voters in Texas through online panel responses; the margin of error is 3.6 percentage points.
