Pringles releases Halo potato chips that taste like Moa Burgers from Halo Reach

Microsoft has partnered with chipmaker Pringles for a new flavored potato chip: Moa Burger. As in the Moa, the flightless bird native to the planet Reach (and also the name of an extinct bird species here on earth), from Halo reach.

In Halo fiction, Moa was a source of food on Reach, served in wing, nuggets, and civilian forms. The new Moa Burger from Pringles is aimed at tasting a quadruple burger of ground bird, plus cheese, pickles, lettuce, onions and an unidentified sauce. They are, of course, artificially flavored.

Pringles’ Wavy Moa Burger chips are only available for a limited time and are sold exclusively at Walmart. Presumably this particular fragrance was generated when Halo Infinite would be a 2020 release, but 343 Industries’ “mental reload” of the franchise is now expected to hit Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows PC, sometime in the fall of 2021.

Players who want to visit the world of Reach, again when it was full of Moa, can play Halo reach in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. 343 added Bungie’s Halo prequel to the collection in December 2019.

Meanwhile, Halo fans can also consume Halo in liquid form, thanks to Monster Energy’s Halo Infinite cross-promotion.
