Princess Martha Louise of Norway shared the first Christmas during the commemoration of the suicide of her ex-husband Ari Behn during the celebration of her family.
Mr Behn, a writer who shared three daughters – Maud Angelica (17), Leah Isadora (15) and Emma Tallulah (12) with his ex-wife Princess Martha Louise (49) took his own life on Christmas Day last year.
The mother-of-three shared a festive selfie with her boyfriend Shaman Durek, 49, who suggested the American spend the day with the family, as well as a photo of her three children on the day.
She said: ‘These holidays were a little different from previous years, but we also managed to capture the holiday spirit.

In one of the screenshots, Princess Martha Louise’s youngest daughter Emma (12) could be seen stroking a horse while dressed in a festive red dress.
‘One of the most important things we discovered that we were a family in mourning after Ari, the father of my wonderful children committed suicide on Christmas Day a year ago, was to welcome love, happiness, fun and games, in addition to the sadness you can not avoid when you are in mourning.

Besides sharing the screenshots of her family, the royal said they tried to embrace ‘happiness and love’ during Christmas, along with their ‘inevitable sadness’ (pictured with eldest daughter Maud).
Leah shared a selfie with her 36,000 Instagram fans and wrote: ‘Today my dad killed himself and it really was one of the hardest years of my life. But if you are alone and / or you feel alone, I want you to know that you are not alone! ‘
She encouraged supporters to seek help and posted several links to suicide prevention organizations.
Leah said, ‘I know my words might not do anything, but if it can help at least one person, it’s worth it.
“In these difficult times, mental and physical health are so important!”

In an emotional Instagram message, the teen urged those who ‘feel alone’ to ask for help and shared the phone number for suicide prevention services.

“I know it may seem impossible, but I promise it’s going to get better. You’re going to make it. Every day you grow and you have the choice to be better. ‘
