The late Prince Philip allegedly once asked Queen Elizabeth to ‘just stab me in the back of a Land Rover and drive me to Windsor’ when he passed away, and that’s almost what’s going to happen on Saturday.

The royal family has revealed that the adapted Land Rover defender, Prince Philip, helped move his coffin across the castle to the St. To wear George Chapel for the service.

According to Sky News, Prince Philip has been tampering with the Defender TD5 130 chassis cabin for the past 18 years with the help of Land Rover, choosing the paint color and a platform with posts to hold the coffin up.

Traditionally, royal cupboards are carried on horse-drawn carriages, but Prince Philip is a well-known Land Rover enthusiast who has been frequently seen driving the brand’s vehicles. He was driving a Land Rover Freelander when he ended up on a public road in a car accident in 2019 at the age of 97, which resulted in him forfeiting his driving license forever.

Currently, the late husband of Queen Elizabeth lies at rest at Windsor Castle.

He is 99 years old on April 9th.
