Prince Charles pays tribute to ‘dear Dad’ Prince Philip

Prince Charles posted a montage of photos of Prince Philip’s nearly 100-year-old in a moving tribute to his ‘dear Dad’.

Charles, the 72-year-old heir to the throne of the United Kingdom, used his official social media pages from Clarence House on Tuesday to pay tribute.

“My dear Dad was a very special person,” he wrote in an Instagram caption, quoting his own Saturday speech in which he praised his late father’s most remarkable, dedicated service ‘.

To evoke piano music, Charles’ montage begins with his father and mother, Queen Elizabeth II, with him and his sister, Princess Anne, when they were both young children.

Many of the other 37 snaps used for the video show Philip enjoying tender moments with his family – and often make the queen and his children laugh with what grandson Prince William calls his ‘mischievous humor’.

Others displayed Philip in more formal settings, with Clarence House noting how the late Duke of Edinburgh ‘his whole life’ was associated with 992 organizations, whether as president, patron, honorary member or in another capacity ‘.
