President Biden seems to remove Trump’s Diet Coke button from Oval Office

Maybe he wants a Pepsi?

It looks like President Biden got rid of the Diet Coke button his predecessor, President Donald Trump, used on the fixed desk in the Oval Office.

Political commentator Tom Newton Dunn tweeted a photo of Biden behind the desk on Thursday with stacks of executive orders – but the famous little red button Trump pushed to get his favorite soft drink turns out to be.

“President Biden has removed the Diet Coke button,” Dunn wrote. ‘Eventually Trump pushed it and a butler quickly brought a Diet Coke on a silver platter. It’s gone now. ‘

Trump showed the button to reporters in 2017 with the Associated Press and Financial Times.

“With the push of a red button placed on the Resolute Desk that presidents have been using for decades, a Butler from the White House soon arrives with a coke for the president,” the AP reported at the time.

Trump also boasted that his staff always noticed when he pressed the button.

“Everyone gets a little nervous when I push the button,” Trump told a Financial Times reporter.
