Quito, 23 dic (EFE). – The Ministry of Health Ecuadorian Public presents a code of ethics of ancestral and traditional medicine of the indigenous peoples and indigenous peoples of the country in an international meeting, informs these markets the Cartera de Estado.
In a symbolic act, the authorities of the Ministry of Health will convene the “Code of Ethics of Men and Women in the Abstinence of Ancient Medicine of Ecuador”, representing Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Switzerland and Bolivia, and of the social organizations of the original nations of the country.
The Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador guarantees the practices of ancestral and traditional health through the recognition, respect and promotion of the use of its means, medicines and instruments, employed by the peoples and nationalities in the national, central territory.
In the elaboration of the Código participates from 2017 delegates of the 15 nationalities and 18 indigenous indigenous peoples, in addition to the Montenegrin and Afro-Ecuadorian peoples.
The document contains various criteria: the systematization of concepts and definitions; the philosophical declaration; the regulation of practitioners; and the self-empowerment of the people and nationalities.
The national director of Salud Intercultural, Miguel Quijije, appreciates the presence of the representatives of the nationalities indigenous in the event and the result, which “this Code of Ethics reflects the knowledge that exists within the ecu-territorial territory, although it is millennial . ”
For its part, the defender of the indigenous rights and lecturer of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Mexico (UNAM), Araceli Burguete, demonstrated that he has made a “relevant contribution to generating a possibility to replicate for that more communities of different continents can build mediated shared assets “.
