Influencer Emily Mitchell, who was expecting her fifth child, died suddenly this week, her family confirmed.
The Rhode Island-based blogger, who runs the Hidden Way Instagram account, passed away three days before Christmas, along with her unborn child. Her family said she ate breakfast on December 22 when she ‘did not respond’.
Attempts to save her and her fetus were unsuccessful. Doctors need to determine another cause of death.
“Our hearts are broken and so many joys will miss her joyful presence very much,” reads a message on a GoFundMe page for Mitchell’s family. ‘Em has had a huge impact in so many people’s lives, and this loss is incomprehensible to everyone who knew her. Our friend was a devoted mother and wife, she had a heart for the Lord and loved her children so much. ”
On November 19, Mitchell and her husband, Joseph, shared the news of her most recent pregnancy with her 109,000 followers. On December 8, she wrote to her followers that she would undergo her fifth caesarean section. Her social media account shared the pros and cons of her four children Finn, Isla, Eden and Luna.
“Emily had a beautiful smile and a friendly, compassionate spirit, beautiful inside and out,” reads her online obituary. Her exuberant personality radiated outwardly in her interactions and relationships with everyone who knew her. Emily was a symbol of strength during the most difficult time for so many. ‘
