And Ellie Goulding frankly discussed in an interview on Sunday Brunch over the weekend how she could keep her baby news a secret for so long.
The Lights hitmaker (34) admitted that she covered her growing hump with her 29-year-old husband’s coat when she chatted with hosts Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy.

Asked what pregnancy was like for her and how she kept it a secret, she said: ‘It’s different … I stole my husband’s coat for about six months,
‘But it was really just in the shops, I did not go anywhere else. When I went for a walk, I just kept it covered. However, it was not really that difficult, I did not really see anyone. ‘

The singer, who married art dealer Caspar in 2019, announced her pregnancy in beautiful home photos taken for Vogue Magazine.

The starmaker of Starry Eyed said she became pregnant during a trip to celebrate their one-year existence in Italy last August.
Ellie’s last major appearance was at the V&A Museum that month and she spent the closing time at home in Gloucestershire.
She said: ‘We did the one show. I was pregnant and had no idea. It was [around] the time when Caspar and I were away for a short time when we were admitted for our one-year anniversary, and that’s basically when we found out.
“It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant does not seem to be a reality.
“Getting pregnant made me feel human. I want a better word than female, [but]—I have curves I have never had before. I enjoy it. My husband enjoys it. ‘

Ellie admitted that being pregnant during a pandemic felt like a lonely experience, but it was taboo to complain about being pregnant.
But although she does know ‘by default’ the gender of the baby, she admits that she did not want to reveal any gender and only wanted a healthy baby.
Ellie and Jasper met in 2016 after sitting next to each other during a dinner arranged by their mutual friend, Princess Eugenie.
The couple were married in August 2019 at a star-studded wedding in York Minster, attended by everyone from Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson to actress Sienna Miller and singers Katy Perry and James Blunt.
