Praised Meta-Analysis | Pokémon GO Hub

With Roselia Community Day around the corner, it’s time to discuss Roserad and find out how well it can perform PvP and PvE to determine if it is versatile in combat.
For the first time ever a popular Pokémon will learn two exclusive movements at once
during his Community Day.

On February 7, 2021 (11:00 17:00 local time) Roselia, the Thorn Pokémon will appear and learn more in the wild Bullet Saad & Weerbal Fire when it evolved into the Bouquet Pokémon, Roserade. The occasional bonus is Egg Breeding Distance Bonus with Budew hatching at Eggs.

The combination of Bullet Seed and Weather Ball Fire can be a strong moving set that combines a fast energy boost with a spammy nuke that synergizes the fresh meta-Pokémon.

Statistics and movements

Max CP Attack Defense Stamina

Roserade has 4 weaknesses Fire, Fly, Ice and Psychic and 5 resistors what is Grass, Electric, Fairy, Fight and Water.

PvP leagues

Big league:

The first thing that comes to mind with these new moves to Roserade is the comparison with Sunny Cherim who also has access to Bullet Saad and Weerbal Fire. From the statistics above we can see that the attacking status of Roserade is a huge selling point 243, which may in fact sound tempting, however, keep in mind that it does not have the largest amount to survive charges of the majority of the current meta.

In this case, shields are almost mandatory to make Roserade shine. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but when it comes to using Roserade to ‘exchange’ a Pokémon, it will be very necessary to burn shields to maintain the advantage of the switch.

You might think “But what about Grass knot?”And although it may be decent Grass nuke, it falls short of one-shot an Azumaril what does a Ice ray will still take out Roserade without the use of a shield.

If you’re thinking of running Roserade with Grass Knot, just keep in mind that Pokémon like Venusaurus and Tropius are better alternatives than Grass type users in Great League because of their large and consistent damage output. Roserade may not fit comfortably in the Great League division, but that does not mean that it is not a good choice in every league, which brings us to our next format …

Ultra League (Open & Premier):

Roserade may just have an anti-meta-killer in the Ultra League, both open and in Premier format. The thought of a Grass + Poison tap Pokémon that now have access to a Fire type move, can cause a threatening presence against the current UL meta which includes Pokémon seen in almost every game Magnezone, Swampert, Venusaurus, Abomas knows now, Escavalier, Melmetaal and Registeel.

Entry to Sludge bomb also offers a possible solution for the counters that include Charizard, Exegutor, and everyone’s favorite Charm users like Togekiss and Key.

These matches may sound favorable, but keep in mind that Roserade is not played as standard Grass user and has much more versatility in a carefully structured team rather than an alternative to standard Grass users played in UL.

With the right team composition, Roserade does have the potential to shine, but it is by no means a substitute for any existing Pokémon, as it has a unique movement set that offers shield pressure and terrible nuk damage.

Champions League:

Roserade unfortunately does not have much potential in Master League, despite the fact that his CP can reach it 3359 (at level 50). It has only a few positive matches Magnezone, Tire and Swampert. In a meta that is widely inhabited by Dragon types, it looks like Roserade just does not fit well in this league. Weerbal Fire can be useful against Metagross but again, it needs shields to keep this fragile flower alive.

Conclusion of PvP:

From what we can gather from this information, it is clear that Roserade shines the brightest in the Ultra League because of its meta and versatility. If PvP is your niche, it is recommended to hunt for a decent IV on Community Day (0 Attack, 11 Defense, 14 Stamina for PvP) with the exclusive moveset, as it will have a good game in PvP, mainly UL.

PvE analysis

If PvP is not your thing, then hear it. Roserade currently has the highest attack status out of any non-legendary Grass Pokémon type. This means that XL Roserade will be an animal in Attacks, Gym Fighting and Team GO Rocket Grunts / Leaders. It is considered a ‘glass cannon’ which means it can deal insane damage, but its defense is small when it hits. Most things will make Roserade one-off if not protected in Raids.

Against Pokemon weak Grass type of move, Lime leaf will be the better Fast Move as it will deliver a higher damage output compared to Bullet Seed. On the other hand, Bullet Seed will generate energy faster, which means you move faster at your load, which can also provide reliable damage output.

Closure

In retrospect, this community day may not be such a waste of time as many people thought when announcing this event. Roserade will help take down raid bosses quickly and has usability in PvP, which is a win-win situation.

Remember to stay safe and maintain social distance while playing when you can leave home.

Good luck hunting for Rosellia and may the shining gods be with you!
