(CNN) – A magnitude 7.1 earthquake shook the coast of Japan, near Fukushima, on Saturday night and killed at least 12 people.
The epicenter of the terrain, which takes place at 11:07 pm local time (9:07 am Miami time), is located 73.9 kilometers to the north of Namie, a city about 96 kilometers from Fukushima, according to the Service Geologic of United States.

The depth of the terrain is approximately 57 kilometers. Information from lesions in the prefectures of Fukushima and Miyagi, according to the state broadcaster NHK. No tsunami alert was issued for the Saturday morning earthquake and no anomalies were reported in Fukushima’s nuclear power plant, according to Japan’s cabinet secretary Katsunobu Kato.

The earthquake also provoked the smell of nuclear disasters in the country: three reactors of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant were deriting, releasing radioactive materials into the air and more than 100,000 people were evacuated from the area.
There are 830,000 hogs in the Kanto region, which includes the Greater Tokyo area, and around 90,000 hogs in the Tohoku region are without electricity along the Saturday plot, including Kato.
Kato also signaled that Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga gave instructions to the governor to evaluate the data caused by the plot, leading him to seek redress when necessary and to send information to the public in a timely manner.
