Powerball numbers: no big winner Saturday; the jackpot grows to $ 550 million

NEW YORK – The Powerball jackpot has grown to more than half a billion dollars after the draw on Saturday did not yield a winner.

Saturday’s winning numbers were: 14-26-38-45-46- Powerball: 13

The Mega Millions jackpot is even bigger, producing lottery fever across the country.

Here’s what you need to know about both prices:

Powerball

The Powerball jackpot grew to $ 550 million (cash value: $ 411.4 million) by Sunday morning, the largest potential price since March 2019.

Powerball officials say it could be the 9th biggest top prize in the history of the game.

The next drawing will be held on Wednesday 13 January.

Although no one won the grand prize, two tickets already cost five white balls to win $ 1 million. These tickets were sold in Pennsylvania and Florida.

The Powerball jackpot was last drawn in New York on September 16, 2020.

“It’s been a few years since the games simultaneously offered big pots, and our players are for it,” said May Scheve Reardon, chairman of the Powerball product group and executive director of the Missouri Lottery.

The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands.

Mega Millions

The Mega Millions jackpot reached $ 600 million for the fourth time in history.

Many lottery players are hoping for their luck because no ticket matches all six figures drawn on Friday night.

Friday’s winning numbers were: 18, 3, 58, 16, 6 and a Megaball of 11.

Although no one won the Mega Millions jackpot earlier this week, five tickets match all five of the white balls, making players in California, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York millionaires.

Four of the winners won $ 1 million, and the winner from New York bought the optional Megaplier, which raises their prize to $ 2 million.

Our sister station WABC-TV reported that the $ 2 million winning ticket was purchased at Citgo Mart in Middletown, Orange County, and that a $ 1 million ticket was sold at Masso’s Deli & Pizzeria in Gibbsboro, New Jersey.

According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, the chance that all five numbers and the Powerball number match is 1 in about 293 million. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.

Mega Millions tickets are on sale in 44 states plus the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands.

The next drawing is Tuesday.
